It’s finally here! We leave in the morning for Honduras. We’ve spent the last 5 months planning and praying for this trip. We have each worked hard to raise money and prepare for the work God has for us. We want to share our experience with you each day by writing here on the blog and sharing photos. Please tune in every day to find out what we are up to!
In orientation today we talked about how Missions is all about the heartbeat of God. Jesus was the first missionary when he came to this world to seek and save the lost. He came to our chaotic and messy planet to redeem what was once His. So we go because He came. We serve because He sacrificed! We love because He first loved us. Our trip to Honduras is not an event it’s about doing life as a “sent one”. It’s bout doing life as a follower of Jesus. It’s normal.
We prepared our crafts and games. We planned our lessons and songs. We got our hearts and minds focused on the mission ahead of us. We are as ready as we will ever be and all we need now is your prayers backing us up!
Pray for our hearts and for this we serve.
Pray for health and for safety.
Pray for effectiveness and energy.
Pray for Tyler to join us in Miami. He has to get a special flight. Pray it works out!
We will update you when we get there tomorrow evening! Bon voyage!
